Adult education courses are available to individuals ages 20 and above and are offered in Plainwell as well as Hastings.

High School Completion/Diploma Program

The Adult Education department at RHS will transfer credits from previous secondary institutions and offer guidance on completing the diploma track through online courses, in-class courses, and work experience.

High School Equivalency Program

We provide preparation classes on-site and online for taking and passing high school equivalency exams like the GED, TASC, and HiSet.  Through our grants and the GED-to-School program for the State of Michigan, you can get your HSE free of charge.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes

Our adult education department also offers ESL courses for students who are not native English speakers.  Students will take part in online curriculum through Burlington English and also take part in our HSE program after language acquisition courses.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Classes

ABE courses are aligned with both the High School Completion/Diploma program and the High School Equivalency program.  These classes are specifically for students who have, [1] never been to high school, [2] want to improve their literacy skills, [3] test in below the ninth-grade level.  These classes are designed to assist students in building their skills in order to complete a diploma or HSE program.
