Community Pool

poolThe Plainwell Community Pool is located in the district’s middle school. Besides hosting home swim and diving meets, it is open to all district residents for classes and recreation. It is a multi-lane pool of varying depth with 2 diving boards, spectator bleachers, changing rooms and a lobby. If you have any questions regarding the pool, please call 685-2425 or email gro.sloohcsllewnialp@yhpruma.

The pool will be CLOSED Friday April 3rd-Sunday April 12th due to SPRING BREAK!!

  Spring Swim lessons will begin Monday March 16 2015.  Session I class times have been changed!  Classes will run on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m., 5:50 p.m. and 6:25 p.m.

Due to the number of swimmers, Session I spring classes are now closed and we will not be taking anymore for registration.  Session II that begins April 27 is still accepting registrations.  Please call the pool to sign up.

OPEN SWIM  GENERAL POOL RULES

Open swim is for all ages. Cost: $3 per person, $5 per family
Friday and Saturday evenings 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

LAP SWIM

Lap Swim is for high school and adults only.

Morning Lap Swim:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 to 7:00 a.m.
Lap swim is for adults & high school students.
Cost:  $3 per person or pass

Noon Lap Swim:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday    12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.
Cost:  $3 per person or pass

Evening Lap Swim: Tuesday and Wednesday nights.  7:00-8:00 p.m.

SWIM LESSONS

Each session will be limited to 20 swimmers, so sign up early. Additional times will be added if necessary. When signing up for lessons, please select the class times and dates. The swimmer will be placed in the proper class according to their skill level at the first lesson. To register for swimming lessons: attend the first day of class & register with your instructor or  go to this link swim lesson registration.   Please bring registration and payment to first day of class.

 

POOL RENTAL- pool party policies and rules

The pool is available for rental to any group or organization. Cost: $40 per hour 1-30 people, $50 per hour 31-50 people. $25 per hour for lobby (includes tables and chairs).

A youth swim team for swimmers ages 7 thru 18

The Spring season is designed to teach all 4 competitive strokes & turns. Competitive starts & relay exchanges will also be emphasized. The main focus is to teach good technique for all swim strokes. Summer season begins once school is out.  Swim meets are on Thursday nights and practices are in the mornings. All swimmers will be expected to participate in the competitive meets. Financial assistance is available upon request.
