  • Talented Bunch!

    Plainwell Middle School hosted its annual Talent Show last week with one show for parents and another for the student body. Both shows were a huge success! Congratulations to a lot of talented students and many thanks to the parent volunteers.

  • Sharing the Love!

    We challenge anyone to walk down this hallway at school and not smile. Teacher Monique MacQueen's classes put out special messages to encourage all students and inspire kindness throughout the school.

  • Geography Champs!

    Congratulations to 7th grader Tyson Schoen, the winner of this year's Geography Bee. 8th grader Justin Tomkowiak and 6th grader Maria Launt were a close 2nd and 3rd. Kudos to all who participated!

  • 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Field Trip to Washington D.C.

    6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in attending an optional field trip to Washington DC to visit the Science and Engineering Festival taking place on April 5-8. 2018 should click on the button below for more information.

  • Robotics Team In Grandville

    Congratulations to both PMS Robotics Teams! This weekend they competed in their first VEX competition of the season and one of their two teams finish the qualification round in 6th place. Both teams were able to play in the quarterfinal. They were awarded the Team Spirit award for the tournament and were all out awesome!!

  • The Sky Is the Limit!

    STEM students get a chance to fly airplanes each spring. It's a tradition they all look forward to.

The STEM Academy STEM_Web

Plainwell Middle School is proud to announce the addition of one of the most unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Academies in the State of Michigan. The PMS STEM Academy is a “School within a School” focused on exploring, innovating and creating for 6th and 7th grade students. STEM Enrichment courses are offered for 8th graders. The PMS STEM Academy will provide a project-based learning environment and opportunities for students to use critical-thinking, problem-solving and collaboration – all 21st-century workplace skills.

Parents’ Group
Parent Group meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Exploration & Support Center at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, but please know that childcare is not provided. This is a friendly, round-table discussion format.
