  • Going Zero Waste Receives Grant!

    The Going Zero Waste Project kicked off this spring will get more life this fall with a generous grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

  • Incoming Freshmen Marching Trojans!

    Marching Band Director David Hepinstall works with the 2017-18 incoming freshman on their marching skills. They will march along with the current PHS Marching Trojans in the Memorial Day Parade. Come see their marching debut!

  • State Festival Performers

    Congratulations to the PMS 8th Choir and 7th/8th Grade Honors Choir for singing at the State Choir Festival held at Hope College.

  • Thanks Midway Chevrolet!

    A big thanks to Bryan Belden of Midway Chevrolet for sponsoring the annual art scholarship contest. The student works were on display at the dealership and the top three winners in each grade (6th-8th) received Visa Gift Cards. In addition, Belden awarded the PMS Art Department with a $500 check. We appreciate Midways continued support of our students and schools.

  • 2017 Salmon Release

    Students in Mrs. Damick's STEM Science took part in what is now an annual tradition.

  • Band Students Take Top Honors

    Congratulations to all the PMS Band Students who attended the State Solo and Ensemble festival this month. Everyone scored either First or Second Division ratings. Several students went and played in solos, duets, trios and small ensembles.

  • Going Zero Waste

    The Zero Waste Cafeteria at PMS received lot of media attention and has been a big hit thanks to the hard work of staff and students!

The STEM Academy STEM_Web

Plainwell Middle School is proud to announce the addition of one of the most unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Academies in the State of Michigan. The PMS STEM Academy is a “School within a School” focused on exploring, innovating and creating for 6th and 7th grade students. STEM Enrichment courses are offered for 8th graders. The PMS STEM Academy will provide a project-based learning environment and opportunities for students to use critical-thinking, problem-solving and collaboration – all 21st-century workplace skills.

Parents’ Group
Parent Group meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Exploration & Support Center at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, but please know that childcare is not provided. This is a friendly, round-table discussion format.
