We have a full month of school behind us. Students have participated in NWEA, DIBELS. Star Reader and Delta Math testing. We will soon have our Math and Reading interventions up and running. Please ask your child about his/ her AR reading goal. At this point, he/she should be half way to meeting that goal.
Starr will have its annual Halloween Parties and Parade on Monday, Oct. 31. As in recent years, in order to participate in a classroom party, a person’s name must be on the list provided by the classroom teacher to the office. We will have check ins for both upper and lower elementary. You will be stopped and asked to return to the office if you are in you are in the halls without the appropriate name tag. We do this for the safety of our children so we can monitor who is in the building. We appreciate your understanding. You do not need to be on a list to join us in the gym to watch the parade. Please watch for additional party and parade information coming from your child’s classroom teacher.
This year Starr will be participating in Spirit Days for Homecoming along with the High Schools. Our days will look slightly different so please refer to the Starrgazer and classroom newsletters for additional information.
Conferences are right around the corner we look forward to 100% participation.
Enjoy the cooler weather.
