  • Encyclopedia Britannica & World Data Analyst (Password required. See Mrs. Nuyen in the Media Center for the password) – Provides encyclopedia articles, links to websites and magazine articles, as well as vital information about countries of the world.
  • Gale Databases (Complete) (Password required. See Mrs. Nuyen in the Media Center for the password) –  Databases provide the full text of our best reference books, magazines, and newspapers.  To reach the Michigan Electronic Library project databases listed below from your home computer, you may be prompted to log in with a valid Michigan driver’s license number.
  • Gale Virtual Encyclopedias – With a single search you can access the contents of fifteen specific subject encyclopedias focusing on arts, biography, business, education, environment, general reference, history, law, literature, medicine, multicultural studies, nation and world, religion, science, and social science.

  • Series Reading: Which book comes next?   The Mid-Continent Public Library has a great website which lists series books IN ORDER! You can look up by series name, book title, or author.  Series include those for young children through young adult books.

  • There is a redesigned SAT available in the fall of 2015 and the spring of 2016. The following links will help students prepare for the redesigned SAT.

  • MASSP (Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals) PSAT/NMSQT Links: Students should print out the materials  provided in the following links to simulate and prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT Test taken in the fall of 2015.
    • Practice PSAT/NMSQT Test – A sample test form to help students become familiar with the current and redesigned SAT.
    • Practice Answer Sheet – A practice answer sheet to simulate the test and the process of filling in answers on the answer sheet.
    • Answer Explanations – This document provides explanations for the best answers to each item. For each question, it includes the text of the question, the response, an explanation of why the response is the best answer and why the other options are incorrect. The Practice Answer Key, the response to each question in the practice form, can be found on the last page of this document.
    • Completed Answer Key –The MASSP  has taken the Practice Answer Sheet and the Answer Explanations (both linked above) and done the work of creating a completed answer sheet that you can use as a key.
