March was reading month everywhere, and Cooper teacher, Tanya Miller, took some extra time to show us all the fun that Cooper Elementary Students had celebrating!
Mrs. Herder’s first grade class enjoying their “new-to-you” books at Coopers Book Swap.
Cooper students and parents enjoyed a Morning Reading Safari and a light snack before school. The morning was culminated with a story read by Erin Marsh from Ransom Public Library as well as a good will visit from some Kalamazoo County sheriffs.
Cooper teachers swapped classrooms during March is Reading Month. Mr. Hurdlebrink enjoyed a chance to read to the kindergarteners, while Mrs. Kessler read to Mrs. Colyer’s 5th graders and Mrs. Luegge left the instruments behind to read with Mrs. Hannig’s 2nd graders.
A group of 2nd graders are out on a Reading Safari collecting facts posted in individual classroom doors to go with the theme Get Wild about Reading!
Mrs. Hannig’s students created their own stories using donated board books. They had a chance to read their stories to the GSRP!
