2021/22 PCS ENROLLMENT: Plainwell Community Schools is now enrolling for the 2021/22 school year. Families have the option of one of three learning options: 100% Virtual, Hybrid and In-Person learning options are available. Students who select a virtual or hybrid option, will be able to transition to in-person instruction at the trimester (building availability will be dependent on enrollment).
Virtual & Hybrid Learning Options!
Plainwell Virtual & Hybrid for K-12 is proud to offer the following virtual learning options for the PCS students for the 2021/22 school year. This program will have some exciting revisions coming from last year, but will include many of the outstanding PCS educators that are returning to continue on the virtual journey!
- 100% Full Virtual (Synchronous & Asynchronous options) provides families with the option to learn at your own pace and on your own schedule, all while receiving an outstanding PCS education.
- Hybrid Learning provides students with the opportunity for virtual learning with in-person supports and in-person learning options. Learn from home, with an option to have partial in-person learning, small group intervention instruction and "specials" which provide a more hybrid approach.
Begin your educational journey with Today’s Learners & Tomorrow’s Leaders by enrolling today at plainwellschools.org. For questions regarding our virtual and hybrid learning options, please contact:
- Kari Luckett (Starr) for K-6 learning at kari.luckett@plainwellschools.org
- Jeremy Wright (PHS) for 7-12 learning at jeremy.wright@plainwellschools.org

MIDDLE SCHOOL SAIL: Last week, we welcomed our SAIL - Session 2 students to the program. At the Middle School, the students learned about our planet. In Mrs. Cooley's class they did research on volcanoes and created pamphlets giving the surrounding population information on how to stay safe if their volcano was to erupt. In Ms. Flynn's class they looked at artwork by Hokasi and "the great wave". They studied hue intensity and how to push and pull the tide using tints and shades in a monochromatic color scheme. Students also made volcano vase's and focused on form and texture and how the sense of touch is heightened when sight is taken away. It's been a great summer in Plainwell's SAIL program!
