PMS School Counseling Department
Ms. Lin
Hello! My name is Ms. Lin and I am a School Counselor at PMS! This is my second year at Plainwell and I am so excited to join the students and staff for another great school year! Before coming to PMS I worked as a High School Counselor, Life Skills Coach, and Youth Shelter Care Worker. I love the balance of social/emotional, academic, and postsecondary support that I get to provide students in my unique role. I chose to be a School Counselor because I believe in the power of education for building a brighter future and the importance of unconditional supportive adults to help make that happen. I enjoy working with young people and helping them to develop the skills and strategies they need to grow into successful adults. I've spent most of my life in the Kalamazoo, MI area but I have also lived in Massachusetts and Ohio. I have an adorable fur baby named Freddy whose 3 years old. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family/friends, watching movies, reading, attending performance art, going on dog walks, and traveling when I have the opportunity. I look forward to another great year of working with all of you here in the Plainwell community.

Ms. Spencer
Hello, my name is Ms. Tiffany Spencer and I am a new School Counselor at Plainwell Middle School. I am joining Plainwell after spending 8 years as a School Counselor at Kalamazoo Central High School. In addition to having K-12 school counseling experience, I have a professional counseling license. I am originally from Traverse City, however I have spent most of my life on the eastside of Michigan. I have one daughter who completed her K12 education in June 2022 at Parchment Schools. I am excited to join PMS and to finally be a “Trojan” again!

Mrs. Madison
Hello my name is Mrs. Char Madison and I am a part time student support specialist at PMS. I had previously worked in Plainwell as a social worker for many years. I live in Richland with my husband Ken and our dog, Ollie. I work with the school counselors to support students' academic growth, social emotional wellbeing and whatever else is needed. I also assist with standardized testing coordination. I enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with my family. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you here at PMS!

Mrs. Coy
Hello, my name is Mrs. Joanne Coy and I am a part time student support specialist at PMS. I had previously worked in Plainwell Schools as a school counselor for many years. I work with the school counselors to support student academic success, help lead small groups focused on grief/loss and enjoy working with students on career exploration in the classroom. I will often bring one or both of my dogs, Archie (pictured) and Nora. They are both trained to help students relax and reduce anxiety. I also enjoy working and spending time with my horses, and judging horse competitions. I look forward to meeting and working with you at the middle school!

Mr. Glass
Hello, my name is Mr. Scott Glass and I am a social worker at Plainwell Schools. I split my time between the high school and middle school during the week. I work in coordination with building school counselors to support students in need of social, emotional and mental health support. Students can be referred to me by reaching out to their school counselor.
