It’s National School Resource Officer Day and we couldn’t let the day pass without recognizing our amazing School Resource Officer, Mr. Farris. We are incredibly thankful for all he does for our school and community every day! He goes above and beyond for our students and school community - THANK YOU, Officer Farris!


Congratulations to the RHS Powerlifting team on an awesome competition! On Saturday, the Renaissance Rebels competed in a tournament in Edwardsburg where the team had many PRs, took home some medals and even had a few State qualifiers. Way to go, RHS Rebels! Plainwell Pride!

January is School Board Recognition month and before the month ends, we would like to take a moment to thank our Board of Education for their dedication to our school district. They work tirelessly to provide the best for our staff, students and families; including their hard work with the ongoing bond projects. Due to snow and winter weather conditions, Plainwell Community Schools is closed tomorrow (Friday, January 27). An update regarding the SAFE program will be shared with families that utilize the program in the morning. We wish our students, staff and families a safe snow day!


We ❤️ our community! Recently, we had a family in need and three local businesses/organizations stepped up to help in a big way. Special thanks to Walmart, Brock's Towing and North Point Church for stepping in to help one of our Trojan families! We are so thankful for the ongoing support from our AMAZING community! The Renaissance students have been busy since winter break. This week, they started a cooking class, took a tour of Kalamazoo Valley Community College and ended the week by taking five students to complete their GED tests. It was a busy week filled with great experiences for the RHS students. Way to go, Renaissance Rebels!


While the Plainwell students had the day off today, the PCS staff attended a special training. It's amazing to see our staff continuing their education to provide the very best for our students. Today, they were in training with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to learn more about how our district can best support all students. Thank you to the PCS staff for continually striving to provide the very best for Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders!


As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, January 16. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday, January 17.

It's School Board Recognition Month! To start the month, we would like to take a moment to recognize a special member of the Trojan Community! On December 31, 2022, after 15 years serving on the Board of Education, Mrs. Amy Blades stepped down as the BOE President. Amy has provided our students and district with great leadership and dedication throughout her time serving. We are endlessly grateful for her constant commitment to providing the very best for our students, staff and families. Mrs. Blades, THANK YOU for all your years of sharing your time, knowledge, expertise and caring heart with the staff and students at PCS. A few of the students from Renaissance High School spent the morning spreading holiday cheer at the Life Care Center and Stanford House in Plainwell. It was a great way to kick-off the season by participating in a “You’ve Been Elfed” decorating event.
