The PHS Varsity Softball team concluded their season on a high note last Saturday, showcasing their best performance yet. Despite not securing a win against Vicksburg in the district game, they played exceptionally well. In an earlier Vicksburg vs. Plainwell game this season, it resulted in a mercy rule after three innings. However, in Districts, the team demonstrated outstanding defense by limiting Vicksburg to only one run for multiple innings. The team excelled with Samantha McDaniel's excellent pitching, Liv Perrin's solid performance as catcher, Sophia Barth's exceptional plays at first base, as well as impressive plays from Emma Preuss, Gabby Northern and Sophie Munch. Shortstop Madison Seibert made seven crucial outs during the game. The Plainwell Softball program is dedicated to continuous learning and growth, showing improvement in each game throughout the season. GO TROJANS!
