The Cooper Koalas had lots of fun celebrating their staff this week. The Cooper Parents Club showed appreciation to staff by starting the week out by chalking the sidewalk on Monday. They also have provided breakfast, lunches, charcuterie, as well as a soda and dessert bar. Snacks and drinks were stocked in the lounge daily and special treats were left at each teachers door each day to help "lift them up". It was a fantastic way to celebrate our amazing staff members!

The Plainwell High School Holocaust Literature II class visited the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie. During their visit, they asked very thoughtful questions to a hologram of a survivor who survived Auschwitz. They also toured the museum, made a pledge to be an upstander and also took a virtual reality trip to Auschwitz with Fritzie Fritzshall who was one of 600 workers in a factory. Ms. Fritzshall was the youngest in the group and vowed to tell their story, so every day each woman gave her a crumb of their portion of bread to help her survive. It was a great and memorable trip for these PHS students!
