Early this week, students from Plainwell High School participated in a Wolverine Conference Leadership Workshop. This event provided an excellent chance to collaborate with peers from other schools while developing the leadership skills for “Today's Learners, Tomorrow's Leaders.”

Gilkey Elementary continues to celebrate their Rock the Block fundraising efforts. This week, students had two special opportunities to celebrate:
🦎 Students who raised $400 in support of the Rock the Block fundraiser earned a unique reward - a ride with a local police officer to Sweetwater’s Donuts, where they enjoyed delicious donuts and conversation with local heroes. THANK YOU to Officer Farris and Plainwell Public Safety for providing transportation and making this a fun and memorable experience for the Geckos.
🦎 In celebration of the Geckos reaching their fundraising goal, they selected Mr. Gregory to take his principal duties outside, where he enjoyed working and having lunch on the roof of the building.
These fun experiences are great ways for the Geckos to celebrate their fundraising efforts!

Good luck to the Plainwell Girls Swim and Dive team as they head to Harper Creek for their two day Championship Meet! GO TROJANS!

This week, five of our 8th grade band members participated in the MSBOA District XI Middle School Honors Band! The day was filled with rehearsals, opportunities to connect with students from local schools, a brass quintet performance and lots of fun! It was an incredible performance, and we couldn't be prouder of these talented young musicians!

Shoutout to the Varsity Volleyball team for their performance in the District Finals tonight. Although they didn’t secure the victory, they delivered a great match, showcasing incredible PLAINWELL PRIDE and competing strong in all five sets.
Great finish to your season, Trojan Volleyball! 👏🏐

RHS students with an interest in entrepreneurship recently had the opportunity to participate in a small business workshop led by a Renaissance graduate who runs a small business. Throughout the session, students explored topics such as target audiences, branding and marketing. The event concluded with the students using the knowledge they gained in a pitch competition. What an amazing way for these RHS students to gain valuable insights into the steps necessary to turn their business dreams into reality.

On Halloween, PHS counselors organized a special cider and donut celebration to honor seniors for their achievements in post-secondary planning. Throughout the month of October, seniors had the opportunity to earn tickets as they completed post-secondary planning steps and at the celebration, they were able to turn in their tickets for college-themed items, including pennants, lanyards, water bottles, stickers, sunglasses and other dorm room essentials.
Special thanks to our Counselors, the PHS Registrar and Mrs. Phaneuf for your support in making this event a success for our Class of 2026 Trojans!
