Field House progress update! Over the last month, work has continued on the pool tile and bleachers were added in the gymnasium. It has been exciting to see these various interior projects come together. Soon, the Trojans will be competing in the new Field House and we owe it all to the Plainwell community for supporting the 2019 bond proposal! We look forward to welcoming our students, families and community to this new facility in December! GO TROJANS!

As the top fundraiser for the recent Rock the Block at Gilkey Elementary, second grader Kyler had the honor of being Principal for the Day. During his time as Principal, Kyler visited classrooms to gather feedback from his fellow students, participated in a weekly staff meeting, shared his ideas for improving Gilkey and enjoyed a special lunch of his choice (a happy meal). Thank you for your outstanding leadership at Gilkey today, Kyler! 🦎

Thank you to the community for voting yesterday. Unfortunately, the Plainwell Community Schools 2024 revised bond proposal was not approved by voters. We will continue to evaluate and pursue all options to address our district needs. Please stay tuned.

Students in Ms. Pierce’s 4th grade class at Gilkey Elementary had an Election Day filled with various activities. Their day included "registering" to vote (making voter registration cards), participating in a mock election, creating "I voted" stickers and writing to share their ideas "If I Were President..." This experience provided a fantastic learning opportunity for these 4th grade students on Election Day. 🇺🇸

See you at the polls TODAY! Don't forget to vote on the bond proposal along with all the other elements on the ballot!
