PHS VARSITY BASKETBALL: The PHS Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams played against Otsego last night at Plainwell. We started off a great night by having the Gilkey Choir sing our National Anthem prior to the Girls Varsity game - way to go Geckos! Both teams battled hard against the Bulldogs, but fell short. It was a great night of basketball with fantastic school spirit and community support. Go Trojans!

GECKO PE: Students at Gilkey Elementary had lots of fun while Cardio Drumming in PE class. What a fun way for these students to get active. Way to go, Geckos!

DAUGHTER DAY: On Saturday, we held our annual Daughter Day where we had almost 200 participants. During the event, daughters and their chaperones enjoyed an evening at PCS filled with games, glamour & glitter! The special event included: glitter tattoos, a nickname game, dance lessons, a photo booth, lots of give-aways and formal pictures. The evening also had a few special guests, as Plainwell High School's Competitive Cheer team led group dances on stage and Becky Howrigan documented the special evening with formal pictures. What a special day it was for those that attended, from sweets and treats, to pictures, glitter and fun, it was a great time for the PCS daughters and their dates. A very special thank you to all that participated in making this such a wonderful day! Plainwell Pride!

GIVING BACK: Over the last few weeks, the school buildings throughout the district participated in collecting items for the Plainwell Volunteer Christmas Project. Thank you to all that donated to help make this a successful project for families in our community!
In the Middle School, the Student Council coordinated loading up the donations to deliver to the Christmas Project and the National Junior Honor Society helped sort and package the donations to deliver to families. It was amazing to see our students come together to lend a hand during the holiday season - Trojan Pride!

HOLIDAY MUSIC: It was a fun morning at Gilkey, Cooper and Starr Elementary Schools as the Middle and High School Choirs performed for the students. The performance included a number of classic holiday songs, as well as a few special appearances. It was a fun morning for all the students and the smiles were priceless! Great job to the Choir program for providing this festive and fun program for our K-5 students!
