
Students from the Young Fives classes at Gilkey and Starr went on a field trip to Ransom District Library. During the trip, they discovered the summer reading program, toured the library, strolled to Sherwood Park and concluded the day with ice cream from Dean's. A big thank you to Officer Farris for guiding the class as their crossing guard throughout the outing.

Starr Elementary recently hosted their annual Starr Strut, which took place last Friday at Streidl Field. The theme for this year was the Summer Olympics, allowing students to take part in various activities while walking around the track. Thanks to the students' dedication and the kind contributions from many, the event raised $22,779.56! A big thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this fundraiser a fantastic success! Join us for the upcoming Summer Tae Kwon Do program to improve coordination, gain strength and increase your flexibility while learning self-defense techniques, taught by Master Huong Tran. The eight week summer session for participants 7 and up runs from June 10-July 29. Classes will be held each Monday at Hicks Gym from 5:30-7:00 PM. Cost is $30/individual/$45 per family. Earlier this week, PCS hosted the Allegan County School Board Association annual awards dinner where Kristen Gonyeau, Lynne Seibert and Jeff Lindstrom were recognized as the 2024 Outstanding People for Education winners for our district. Congratulations to these three exceptional staff members for their endless dedication to PCS! It was a wonderful dinner, recognizing many amazing staff members throughout Allegan County, congratulations to all of the recipients that were recognized!

Students in Starr Elementary’s 4th grade Cole’s Crew are enjoying an ABC countdown to wrap up their year.
To start the month, they have to enjoyed:

C was for compliments that they delivered into their decorated name bags
D was dance day
E was for exercising with some fun cardio drumming!

The Boys Basketball Camp wrapped up last weekend. During the four week camp, 1st-6th grade athletes learned the fundamentals of the game from PHS coaches and athletes. It was a great experience for the Trojans, with lots of learning and FUN! 🏀
