On Friday, the Starr Elementary Parent's Club sponsored the April Student of the Month Breakfast. Each month, Starr teachers select one student who they felt did an outstanding job throughout the month. In April, the students who were selected did an awesome job giving great effort. Mrs. Gonyeau's first grade class at Starr Elementary had a special visitor today. Lindsay Tarpley, two time Olympic Gold Medalist in U.S. Soccer, stopped by to read to the class. She and her children shared stories about perseverance and the importance of never giving up! It was a very special visit!! A big THANK YOU to Ms. Tarpley for creating this wonderful memory for these Rock Starrs!

Recently, all three 4th grade classes from Starr Elementary took field trips to Lansing where they visited the Michigan History Museum and the Michigan State Capitol Building. Their visits were filled with facts about Michigan’s history and government. Several students even had the opportunity to meet State Representative Matt Hall. These field trips provided many amazing experiences and phenomenal learning opportunities for the Rock Starrs!
Special thanks to Matt Hall and his office for taking the time to meet our Starr fourth graders - it made for an extra special visit to the Capitol!

From rehearsal to showtime, the Rock Starrs from Starr Elementary ROCKED at their 2023 3rd and 4th grade concert. Last night they performed for a packed Performing Arts Center, sharing music throughout the decades! Amazing job, Rock Starrs - your concert was OUTSTANDING!

PLAINWELL SPRING YOUTH CHEER CLINIC: Calling all 1st-5th grade girls - join the varsity coaches and members of the Plainwell Varsity Cheer team to work on stunting, tumbling, motions, games. etc. Four week clinic from May 1-22 on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM in the High School AP Room.

What a special evening at the 2023 Son Day! The night was filled with prizes, surprises, giveaways, magic and laughter at the Performing Arts Center. It was fun for all that were able to attend!
