Students from the Young Fives classes at Gilkey and Starr went on a field trip to Ransom District Library. During the trip, they discovered the summer reading program, toured the library, strolled to Sherwood Park and concluded the day with ice cream from Dean's. A big thank you to Officer Farris for guiding the class as their crossing guard throughout the outing.

Congratulations to the JV soccer team on completing their season with an overall record of 12 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie (12-3-1), while remaining undefeated in the Wolverine Conference (6-0). The team scored 40 goals, while conceding only 9, and earned 12 shutouts. Congrats on a memorable season!

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Gavin Schosso, on signing his letter of intent for Track and Field at Hope College! We are incredibly proud of Gavin's athletic achievements while at PHS and wish him all the best next year at Hope. From all of us at PCS, congratulations and best wishes to Gavin!

The Plainwell High School Honors Choir received a special invitation from the Celebris Ensemble, a professional choral group based in Kalamazoo, to participate in their program titled “Earth and Sky”. During the program, the Honors Choir showcased two of their own songs and also presented a stunning piece called “The Road Home” in partnership with the ensemble. This collaboration was a truly remarkable experience for the Trojans! 🎶

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Ava Collier, who broke the school record with her vault of 11’ 3” to take 1st place at Regionals. With this vault, Ava broke the 11’ record that year was previously held by PHS Track Coach and Plainwell alumni, April Danneffel. Way to go, Ava - PLAINWELL PRIDE!

Starr Elementary recently hosted their annual Starr Strut, which took place last Friday at Streidl Field. The theme for this year was the Summer Olympics, allowing students to take part in various activities while walking around the track. Thanks to the students' dedication and the kind contributions from many, the event raised $22,779.56! A big thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this fundraiser a fantastic success! Well done, Rock Starrs!

Join us for the upcoming Summer Tae Kwon Do program to improve coordination, gain strength and increase your flexibility while learning self-defense techniques, taught by Master Huong Tran. The eight week summer session for participants 7 and up runs from June 10-July 29. Classes will be held each Monday at Hicks Gym from 5:30-7:00 PM. Cost is $30/individual/$45 per family.
