Next up, they will play Gull Lake on Tuesday (5/28) at Wayland beginning at 5:00 PM.


Earlier today, the PHS Golf team competed in the Wolverine Conference golf tournament where they took 3rd place. The top scores from the Trojans came from Drew Rayman and Jacob Erdody who both shot a 78 and placed 6th in tournament. Way to go, Trojans - PLAINWELL PRIDE! ⛳️

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Mason Meert, on signing his letter of intent for soccer at Aquinas College! We are incredibly proud of Mason's athletic achievements while at PHS and wish him all the best next year at Aquinas. From all of us at PCS, congratulations and best wishes to Mason!


Congratulations to the PHS boys 4x200 relay team as they broke the school record last night in Byron Center! The team of Ryan McDaniel, Trent Hansen, Ronald Nunez and Carter Monette broke the 48 year old record by .25 seconds. Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment - TROJAN PRIDE!


The PHS Multicultural Club had the opportunity to take an end of year trip to Chicago. Students explored cultural diversity and experienced various cultures, providing a learning experience beyond the classroom. They visited the National Museum of Mexican Art, toured the Pilsen Murals, explored Chinatown, enjoyed Navy Pier, and dined at an Asian "Hot pot" restaurant. The students were both overwhelmed and excited to have this opportunity, which allowed them to experience something new.

Attention Middle and High School athletes and marching band students! Plainwell and Otsego High Schools are joining forces to offer FREE physicals for the 2024/25 school year to PMS/PHS athletes and marching band students on Wednesday, June 5 at Otsego High School. NEW THIS YEAR! Marching band students will need a physical for the 2024/25 school year. Doors open at 5:00 PM - physicals begin at 5:30 PM. You must be in line by 7:00 PM in order to receive a physical. Forms are available online and in the athletic office (please bring your completed and signed form with you).

Today was officially the last day of school for the senior class! We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2024! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your education. To all of our senior students and families with a student in the Class of 2024 - THANK YOU for allowing Plainwell Community Schools to be a part of your educational journey! If you see a senior, please take a moment to wish them well as they prepare for graduation next week!
To send off our Class of 2024, earlier today they had a parade through the Middle School and their Elementary buildings. It was fun for our staff and younger Trojans to cheer on our seniors and wish them well as they approach graduation - Trojan Pride!


Earlier this week, PCS hosted the Allegan County School Board Association annual awards dinner where Kristen Gonyeau, Lynne Seibert and Jeff Lindstrom were recognized as the 2024 Outstanding People for Education winners for our district. Congratulations to these three exceptional staff members for their endless dedication to PCS! It was a wonderful dinner, recognizing many amazing staff members throughout Allegan County, congratulations to all of the recipients that were recognized!


Gilkey Elementary held their May Student and Staff of the Month ceremony. Each month, Gilkey teachers select one student and a staff member who they felt did an outstanding job throughout the month and the recipients are celebrated at a special award ceremony with their families/guardians. In May, those who were selected did an awesome job with having integrity. Way to go, Geckos!


Jacob Erdody is being honored for creating the class of 2024 mural. Inspired by our hometown, the mural captures the downtown and the rural farming communities. The farm field is meant to pay tribute to Mr. Meert, a beloved teacher and friend. This special mural will be displayed in the halls of Plainwell High School for many years to come. Outstanding work, Jacob - PLAINWELL PRIDE!

Students in Miss Wright's fifth grade class at Cooper Elementary received special recognition from State Representative, Matt Hall, for their accomplishment of reading over 100 books during the month of March. We are proud of these Cooper Koalas!
