Congratulations to the Varsity Soccer team on their District Semi-Final win versus Marshall, 2-1! A goal early in the second half by Logan Beauregard (assisted by John Amaezechi) gave Plainwell the lead, but Marshall would respond by scoring from a free kick. The game would eventually go into overtime and a shootout, where Gage Truitt, Luke Johnson and Zack Holtman all converted their PKs, while Mason Meert came up huge by denying all 3 of Marshall’s attempts. GO TROJANS!! 💙⚽️
This win earns Plainwell a spot in the District Championship at Otsego HS on Wednesday at 6PM versus #1 ranked and defending State Champion, Gull Lake. Good luck and keep up the great work!

We are excited to share the Plainwell Middle School Students of the Week! We are proud of your hard work and dedication. Way to go, Trojans!
Blake (8th Grade): Blake is always showing PRIDE and can be counted on to be a leader! He's a great role model for others and works very hard in class. Blake sees school as an opportunity and continues to be the best version of himself everyday.
Rylee (7th Grade): Rylee is a wonderful leader in all of her classes. She can be counted on to always show Plainwell PRIDE by encouraging others and setting a good example. Super creative, Rylee often takes work home to continue to spend time on it, making sure what she turns in is her 100% best effort.
Wyatt (6th Grade): Wyatt is super friendly and nice to everyone. Transitioning to Middle School is tough and it takes guts to be as outgoing as Wyatt is. He works very hard, helps without being asked, and can always be counted on to be doing the right thing.
Throughout the year, we look forward to continuing to share our outstanding Middle School Students of the Week! GO TROJANS!
Special thanks to our Student of the Month sponsors: Fly Inn, Mayor's Joint, Barbed Wire Cafe and Taqueria San Francisco. We greatly appreciate your support of PCS and our students - Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders!

Yesterday, some of the Middle School Cross Country athletes participated in the MHSAA Middle School Regional Championship. It was a cold, wet, and slippery course and the team had some tough races, some tears and some hard falls…but in the end they had amazing PRs and a great show of team sportsmanship, support and TROJAN PRIDE. They raced against both D1 and D2 schools with the girls team finishing 3rd overall and the boys team finishing 7th overall. Proud to be a Trojan!

Last night during the Homecoming Football game, PHS Sophomore, Madison Nieuwenhuis was recognized for her many accomplishments. Last season, she became the first female wrestler in school history to become a MHSAA State Champion, traveled the country to become a Fargo National Champion and this past summer, she won the “Who’s Number One Challenge Match”. Madison is currently ranked 💙 #2 IN THE COUNTRY 💙 at her respective weight class and is currently training for the USA World Team Trials this spring. Last night, current Division 2 State Head Coach of the Year, Rodd Leonard, along with PHS Assistant Coaches Jaylyn Bohl and Travis Reardon presented Madison with her own State Champion banner to hang proudly and forever in the PHS wrestling room. Congratulations Madison on your multiple accomplishments and thank you for representing PLAINWELL with PRIDE!

It was a rainy and chilly night, but our students, community and Trojan fans still showed a lot of Plainwell Pride at our Homecoming Football game. Congratulations to the PHS Homecoming Court and the 2023 Homecoming King and Queen: Mason Meert and Zoey Bennett! Trojan Pride! 💙
