GIRLS GOLF - WOLVERINE CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to the PHS Girls Golf Team who placed first at the Wolverine Conference Tournament! Renae Yeager is the Wolverine Conference Medalist, with the top score overall! Also congratulations to our Seniors (Cate Awe and Alison Martin) who are pictured with Coach of the Year, Wes Wandell! COOPER FUN RUN: On Friday, Cooper Elementary held their Fun Run fundraiser. It was a beautiful day for the students to enjoy an afternoon outside running, walking and enjoy popsicles! Thanks to the student's hard work and the generous donations by many, the fundraiser collected over $10,000! Thank you to all that donated to make this fundraiser an incredible success! TROJAN CROSS COUNTRY: On Saturday, the Trojan Boys and Girls Cross Country teams had a very successful trip to Bangor for the Bangor Invite. The girls were crowned champions after placing their top 5 runners in the top 7 overall and had 8 medalists overall. The boys team was runner up with the top 5 boys all getting medals. Way to go, Trojans!

PHS MARCHING BAND: Congratulations to the Trojan Marching Band for an outstanding performance on Saturday at the Rockford Band Invitational! The band returned to the MCBA for the first time in two decades and made some noise 🎶 against new competition! The band beat the Edwardsburg band in competition and missed out on 1st place by a tenth of a point to Godwin Heights! The band also won two caption awards, Best Visual Performance and Best General Effect. The next competition is in Belding on October 9th. Keep up the hard work Trojan Band! Plainwell Pride!

The divers finished 1-3: Taylor Seibert 1, Jadyn Erdody 2 and Izzi Keckler 3. In addition, Sarah Russell had a new PR for diving. TROJAN CROSS COUNTRY: The Plainwell Girls Cross Country team has had a very successful start to the 2021 season. Their first two meets have resulted in two trophies for the team! At the season opening Niles Invitational, the Trojans brought home the championship trophy along with 10 individual medals (including the overall winner, Mackenzie Hill for her first career XC victory). At their second race of the season, they competed against a talented field at the South Haven Rustbuster Invitational. The Trojans were able to come away with a runner up finish and trophy behind state ranked Otsego. For the second time, Mackenzie Hill was the meet champion, and led the 5 PXC girls who finished in the medal hunt. What a great start to the season, way to go Trojans!
