The Plainwell Middle School Eco Club is building raised garden beds in the courtyards. Special thanks to Total Property Management for donating the dirt, as well as the Eco Club Advisors (Mrs. Oostdyk & Mrs. Sponsler-Andrasi) and students for your hard work to beautify the courtyards at PMS!

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Connor Gaylord, who recently passed the Certified Solidworks Professional certification test through the Allegan Area ESA Tech Center. This certification was the second in a series of internationally recognized tests: Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA), Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) and Certified Solidworks Expert (CSWE). According to his Instructor, Dr. Quattrin, there have been several students who passed the CSWA (including Connor last spring); however, this is the first time he had a student pass all three sections of the CSWP. This test is usually taken by professionals who have 2-4 years of 40 hour/week experience and is achieved by few high school students worldwide. Way to go, Connor, this is an incredible accomplishment - PLAINWELL PRIDE!

Congratulations to Eliza Harris, Isabelle DeLaet, Tyler Keator, Ally Bruce and Sophie Cox for earning the Michigan Interscholastic Coaches Association Academic All-State award. Great job, Trojans - Plainwell Pride!

Mascot Slappy and players Collin Saccoman, Coale Norris and Kobe Roth were surprise guest readers and the students LOVED it! Students in Mrs. Miller’s 2nd grade class at Starr Elementary had some fun during their March Reading Madness! 🏀 Throughout the month, they had a special reading project and it was a slam dunk. Each student in the class selected one of the basketball teams to research. They located the city/state to compare where it was in relation to Plainwell, they graphed the different types of mascots and designed jerseys for their team. The Final Four teams are pictured with their “jerseys”. What a fun project for reading month - you are all MVPs!
