FAQ: Why is there another bond proposal on the November ballot? What is different about this one?
As the May 2024 bond proposal was not approved by voters, we are still facing the same facilities issues...here are the steps we have taken since. We...
1. Surveyed the community for feedback
2. Re-evaluated our existing needs
3. Reduced the proposal by over $2 million
4. Revised the project list while still aiming to address our top-priority district facilities issues.

Students in Mrs. Youngs’ and Mrs. Bunker’s Young 5 classes took a field trip to Gull Meadow Farms last Friday. While there, they went on wagon rides, picked and learned about apples, enjoyed donuts and cider, all while playing and exploring the grounds at Gull Meadow Farms. When they returned to school, they made applesauce in their classrooms with some of the apples they picked from the orchard. It was a great day for our Young 5 students, family and staff. 🍎

📢Coming this November: A revised bond proposal!📢
On November 5, voters in the Plainwell school district will consider an adjusted bond proposal to address continued facilities issues throughout the district:
- Safety & security risks in outdated windows and doors
- Turf & track past their useful life cycles
- Unequal access to gym space and scheduling issues across elementary schools
- High enrollment in our preschool programs, maxing out our aging classrooms
- Existing multi-use spaces are limited
- Inflation outpaced our careful escalation planning on current construction projects
Learn more about the proposal at plainwellschools.org/page/2024-bond.
