Students from PHS recently had the chance to put their radio skills to the test when Mr. Hurley accompanied a group of students to Jethro FM, a communications company that operates several local radio stations. During their visit, students wrote commercial scripts and produced radio advertisements. The commercials will be used on the radio and within the school to promote PHS, highlight Trojan news and provide students with important announcements and updates. It was a great learning experience and fantastic opportunity for the Trojans!

It’s more than just a competition, and that was proudly displayed in the Varsity Soccer game last night against Niles! To kick-off the game, both teams came together to provide a special moment for Felipe, an exchange student from Brazil. Felipe had his season cut short due to injury, but thanks to the PHS coaching staff, along with the support of the Niles Varsity Soccer team and the referees, he was given the opportunity for one final touch in a game setting. This incredible gesture showcased remarkable sportsmanship from everyone involved. While Felipe’s influence extends far beyond what can be captured in a single moment, we are immensely grateful to both teams for supporting this memorable experience for him.

Each year, the PHS School Counselors conduct individual meetings with all students on their caseloads. These "Minute Meetings" serve as an introduction for our freshman students and a valuable check-in for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. These sessions establish the foundation for lasting student-counselor relationships that continue throughout the school year and during their time at PHS. We are grateful for our counselors and the personalized care and support they offer to all of our High School Trojans!
