To kick-off the Competitive Cheer season and help promote the community of cheer, the teams held a one program, one meal for all of Plainwell Cheer last night. For the event, they had almost 80 girls at the Middle and High School level, as well as their families attend where they shared a meal and each High Schooler received one “little” on the Middle School team who they will be supporting throughout the season. The coaching staff also explained competitive cheerleading and how judging works for those who are new to the program. It was an amazing event, we are excited to see where this sport is going at PCS! The Plainwell Robotics Club competed in very active and equally successful tournaments this past weekend. Many students and coaches were participating in their first tournament and several teams won awards. MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL: The Plainwell Robotics Club sponsored two tournaments at PHS which included 20 Middle School VEX Robotics teams from across southern and western Michigan on Saturday and 23 High School teams on Sunday. From PCS, 18 of our 24 Middle and High School teams competed and received 7 awards collectively. Way to go, Trojans! ELEMENTARY: The action was not limited to our Middle and High School students, as three of our nine Elementary School teams also competed at a VEX IQ Tournament in Hudsonville. This was a first for many of the 4th and 5th grade students and their coaches. Congratulations to Elementary teams: Cobra, Ditto Ms and Koalabots on a great competition. We are incredibly proud of all of our Robotics teams for their hard work and dedication - thank you for representing PCS with Trojan Pride!

Students from the Plainwell High School Multicultural Club had the opportunity to attend an Asian American (AsAm) High School Conference at the University of Michigan. The conference aimed to help the students explore their identity, gain insight into college life and meet fellow peers in the AsAm community. Students were able to attend workshops and small group sessions to engage in a multitude of topics related to identity and self-reflection. There were also performances from a variety of AsAm organizations on campus. This was a great opportunity and experience for the PHS students.
