Plainwell Middle School’s Eco Club went on a field trip to the South Kent Waste & Recycling Center, Kent County Waste to Energy Facility and Recycling & Education Center. Students saw how our trash can be made into clean energy. They also learned how recycling gets sorted and how the landfill helps manage our waste. Everyone learned so many new things and had a wonderful experience.

Mr. Tyus is a character development coach, author, educator and personal trainer who provides uplifting speeches and presentations to students, athletes and beyond all over the country. Students learned about his "no excuses philosophy to encourage the hard work it takes to realizing your dream". His training helped our students prepare for their next opportunity.
