🎶 What an incredible opportunity! 🎶 Last Friday, our 8th Grade Band joined the High School Marching Band for an exciting halftime performance of “Shout It Out” from Drumline! We loved seeing the next generation of Trojan Marching Band members take the field to be part of the action. The future is looking bright for the TMB!

Middle School Trojans - checkout this important information for Boys' Basketball players! If your athlete is participating in Middle School Boys’ Basketball, please check Final Forms for details about the upcoming season and make note of the following important dates:
🏀 Conditioning Sessions: October 19 and October 21 from 3:00-4:00 PM at the Middle School Gym
🏀 Annual Basketball Kickoff: October 24 from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Field House, will include a parent game
🏀 Tryouts: October 26-28 in the Middle School Gym - 6th & 7th Grade from 3:00-4:45 PM and 8th Grade from 5:00-7:00 PM
That’s a wrap on Plainwell’s FIRST Girls Flag Football season! 🏈 Yesterday they finished their inaugural season at home at Streidl Field!
We are so proud of these girls for being part of something new, making memories, growing as a team, and helping pave the way for the future of Plainwell Girls Flag Football. 👏👏

💙📣 PLAINWELL BOYS AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY REGIONAL PERFORMANCE 📣💙
The Plainwell Middle School Cross Country teams turned in strong performances at the regional meet, competing against a large field of talented teams from larger schools!
The boys finished 7th overall as a team, led by an outstanding performance from Ben Stroup, who captured 1st place overall in 10:53.4, earning both conference and regional champion honors! CJ Stroup finished an impressive 6th, and Brock Hansen placed 17th. All three boys earned regional medals! Also representing the boys were Elijah Lawrence, Abbott Smith, Easton Weldon, Kai Ruimveld, Nick Schmittling, Daniel Case, and Mav Mull.
The girls finished 12th overall as a team, led by Brinleigh Hafer, who ran 13:32.3. Adeline Koziatek followed closely, with Ava Butzirus, Kenzie Mull, and Jayla Kidder rounding out the top five scorers. Also representing the girls were Lexie Dunn, Briana Ryan, Ryleigh Kuipers, Livy Potter, and Quinn Potter.
Congratulations to all our Plainwell runners for their hard work, determination, and competitive spirit throughout the season.
They wrapped up their season yesterday by having their final run together to Plainwell Ice Cream!

Brinleigh’s cross country coach stated that “Brinleigh has run extremely well this season. She has dropped over a minute from her time. Parade leaves PHS at 1:20 PM - students, staff, PCS families, and the community are welcome to join us along the parade route to celebrate Homecoming Spirit Week and to cheer on the Trojans prior to their football game against Stugis at 7 PM. 💙💙 GO TROJANS! 💙💙
This week, the 7th-grade band set off on their annual Team Building Trip to TreeRunner Adventure Park in Grand Rapids!
During their adventure, students faced their fears of heights and most importantly, cheered each other on when things got tough! It was an amazing day of Trojans supporting one another, having fun, and making core memories!
Plainwell Middle School's Creative Writing and Art Club classes had the wonderful chance to attend ArtPrize this week. It was an exciting field trip, giving students the opportunity to spend the day discovering the unique and beautiful artwork displayed in downtown Grand Rapids. 🎨

🏐 Spikers Volleyball Registration Reminder 🏐 Registration is open until October 1 for our upcoming Spikers Volleyball program for 3rd-6th graders. The goal of Spikers is to experience the sport, understand the rules, and have fun! The program will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from October 20-December 3. The Middle School Cross Country team had a great week of competition! The girls team defeated Sturgis on Thursday night at their last home meet of the season. On Saturday, the team competed at the Fox and Hound meet at KVCC where the boys team took first place! Special shoutout and thanks to the XC parents who hosted a breakfast tailgate for the team this weekend! PLAINWELL PRIDE!
The 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball teams had a fantastic week of competition. They kicked off the week with a victory over Sturgis at home on Monday night, followed by a win in 4 out of 5 sets against Paw Paw on Wednesday. Each week, both teams have demonstrated impressive growth, improving their skills and strengthening their bond as teammates. We are proud of their dedication and improvement in every game 🏐 TROJAN PRIDE! 🏐
Plainwell Middle School's annual fundraiser is in full swing! Students who managed to gather 10 or more contacts got the ultimate honor today: sliming the staff! The sixth graders gave Ms. Braginton a slime makeover, while the seventh graders transformed Mr. James into a gooey mess, and the eighth graders treated Mr. Mitch to a slimy experience. The top seller in each group got the VIP pass to dump an entire bucket of slime on their lucky staff member! It was a hilariously messy way to celebrate their hard work.
