
TEAM BUILDING: It was a great first week at PCS! At the Middle School, the teachers had their students work on several team building activities to help build strong relationships. It’s great to be a Trojan!


GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team for their 3rd place finish last night at the South Haven Rustbuster Invite. The girls finished behind two top 5 teams in the state, with every girl who ran recording a season best time, including Emma Taggett who ran an all-time personal best. Josie Longcore, Emma Taggett, Hannah Erlandson, Raya Mergen-Henry, Gwen Todd and Claire Vos all won medals. Great job, Trojans!


As a reminder, we have two upcoming no school days: Friday, September 2 and Monday, September 5. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday, September 6. Have a great weekend!

COOPER POWER OUTAGE UPDATE: We are happy to share that the power at Cooper Elementary has been restored! We look forward to welcoming our Cooper students back at school tomorrow (Wednesday, August 31).


PHS MATH TEAM BUILDING: The PHS students had some team building activities today in Algebra 1 and Geometry (solo stack challenge) and collecting data in statistics (blind stork task). Fun learning opportunities for the Trojans!





PHS JV SOCCER: Congratulations to the JV Boys Soccer program! This is Coach Beauregard's third season as their head coach and they have achieved a 35 game unbeaten streak. During these three seasons, 43 players have contributed and remained committed to this success each and every day in practice and games.
- 2020: 12-0-0
- 2021: 14-0-2
- 2022: 6-0-1
The 2022 season is only beginning, however, the team has already earned wins against some tough competition: Loy Norrix, St. Joseph, Okemos, Sturgis, Dowagiac and Wayland. In addition, they tied an exceptional Holland Christian team, where both teams had a chance to earn the win in the closing minutes.
The team has a tough schedule ahead of them this season - please join us in wishing them good luck - GO TROJANS!


COOPER POWER OUTAGE UPDATE: Due to the continued power outage, Cooper Elementary will be closed today (Tuesday, August 30). This closure includes the Cooper SAFE program. Currently, the power is scheduled to be restored on Wednesday at 3:45 PM. We will continue to provide updates to Cooper families through our normal communication methods.Â


COOPER POWER OUTAGE: There is currently a power outage at Cooper Elementary, but the rest of the district is up and running. Cooper Elementary will start with a two hour delay today (8/30) based on the restoration map. If power is not restored by 9:15 AM at Cooper, further communication will be sent to families regarding a building closure. In addition, there is no morning SAFE at Cooper Elementary.
The rest of the district will start school with their normal schedule!

PHS TENNIS: The PHS Tennis team is off to a great start this season! This weekend, the team traveled to Loy Norrix for a quad tournament where they had the following wins:

- Number 1 Doubles - Seth VanOosterum and Steele Madison

WELCOME BACK: It was a great day at PCS as we welcomed back our students! It was awesome to see our classrooms and hallways filled with laughter from students who were eager to learn. We are looking forward to a great year of learning, Trojans!

PHS SOCCER UPDATE: The JV soccer game vs. Mattawan that was scheduled for today (8/29) has been canceled. At this time, we will still try to play Varsity at Plainwell, start time is 6:30 PM. Tickets will be refunded.

GIRLS GOLF: The Girls Golf Jamboree in Edwardsburg that was scheduled for today (8/29) has been canceled due to weather.


PCS BACK TO SCHOOL: We are excited to welcome the PCS students back to school TOMORROW (Monday, August 29) for a half day! We look forward to seeing our students to begin a great year of learning! Go Trojans!


TAEKWONDO: Join us for our upcoming TaeKwonDo program to improve coordination, gain strength and increase your flexibility while learning self-defense techniques, taught by Master Huong Tran. This program is an excellent means of fitness for anyone, age 7 and up, and is appropriate for kids and adults of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.

JUNIOR SPIKERS (VOLLEYBALL): Join us for our upcoming Junior Spikers volleyball program for girls in grades 3rd-6th. The goal of Spikers is to experience the sport, understand the rules and have fun! The season ends with a Saturday tournament with Otsego.
