Plainwell Power competed strongly in their first weekend of State Championship competition! Highlights from the weekend include:
- Sylar Luckett (7th grade) took 5th place in the state. This was a huge accomplishment for Sylar, as she was competing with HS 10th graders!
- Elliot Wiltse was top 10 in the state
- Justin Moss fought hard and set multiple PR’s, but finished outside of the top 10

Last night, they held a special send off performance at PHS and today they were sent off with lots of cheers and PLAINWELL PRIDE as they left for the competition. On Saturday (3/2), PHS Cheer will be competing at the State Finals at Central Michigan University (McGuirk Arena) beginning at 4:00 PM. There are a limited amount of tickets available. The PHS Holocaust class took a trip to Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills last week. While there, students toured the facility and heard from the daughter of a Holocaust survivor who spoke about her life as a child of a Holocaust survivor and told about her father’s life. The PHS students asked very thoughtful questions throughout their time there and received many compliments.
