
REMINDER! We are only a few days away from the Plainwell Education Foundation Euchre Night Fundraiser on Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 PM. The event will be held at Taqueria San Francisco Bar & Grill where attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner, euchre tournament, cash bar and raffle prizes. Cost is $30 per person (limited to 50 guests). You do not need to bring a partner for Euchre night, you will be randomly paired up with someone and will alternate partners throughout the event. The purpose of the Outstanding People for Education award is to honor and recognize people in public education who are excelling in their field and/or making an impact in the quality of education in Allegan County.
Examples of whom you might nominate:
A teacher or classroom aide; an administrator, secretary or board of education member; a bus driver, custodian, or other school support staff; a social worker, therapist, or consultant; a volunteer or community member who supports education.

PLAINWELL ROBOTICS CLUB HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS COMPETE AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Four high school teams from the Plainwell Robotics Club (Blitz, Nuclear Reactors, Pocket Tonk and Black Soul Monsters) participated in the VEX State Championship held at Kettering University on Saturday, February 24. The four teams were among the 79 teams from across Michigan invited to participate in the event. Congratulations on a great competition, Trojans - Plainwell Pride!


Plainwell Power had a great day at Mona Shores this past Saturday, where 19 athletes from PCS gave it their all in a powerlifting event which included competitions in squat, bench press and deadlift. We are so proud of the commitment throughout the season by the Powerlifting student-athletes. Next up, they move on to the State Championships over the next two weekends, where six PCS students will be representing Plainwell Power. Good luck to Kayla Baar, Sylar Luckett, Ryan McDaniel, Justin Moss, Emma Mulder and Elliot Wiltse as they head to the State Powerlifting competition. PLAINWELL PRIDE!


LET'S GO TROJANS! Join us at the PHS Gym on Thursday, February 29 to support the PHS Cheer team at their State Send Off Performance. The team welcomes families, friends, the community and the rocket cheer program to join them beginning at 7:00 PM as the team performs prior to leaving for their State competition!
Following their performance, they will be offering a meet and greet signing event for our youth athletes! Join us to support the Cheer Team - GO TROJANS!


Congratulations to the Boys Swim and Dive team who finished in second place to Otsego only by 12 points at the SCC Swim & Dive Championships over the weekend. The 200 free relay team of Davis Nooney, Grady Nugent, Alex Steele and Sam Harper won the event and set a new pool record. Sam Harper holds the SCC record in the 500 free, won the event and set a new pool record. The 400 free relay team of Davis Nooney, Alex Steele, Henry Cox and Sam Harper qualified for state. Brandon Courtney finished 2nd in diving, Aidan Ranger finished 4th and Phillip Mathis finished 5th earning them all a spot at the regional diving meet this Thursday. Amazing swims by Austin Susens, Nolan Lindsey, Ben Sparks, Hiro Nguyen, Parker Montange, Ford Stevens, Logan Mollitor and Joseph Hoffman. GO TROJANS!

In honor of Black History Month, the Multicultural Club invited a special guest, Colonel James F. Grady II, the Director of Michigan State Police and a Liaison to the Governor's Office to Plainwell High School. Colonel Grady is the third African American Director to lead the Michigan State Police. He engaged the students in an insightful and informative discussion, offering a unique opportunity for them to gain valuable perspective and knowledge from a distingushed law enforcement leader. It was a great learning experience for the PHS students!

Registration is open for the 2024 Summer Youth Volleyball Camp! PHS Volleyball invites students in 1st-12th grade to join them for a volleyball camp from June 10-13 at Plainwell High School. On May 7, 2024, PCS will be pursuing a new bond proposal to continue to improve our facilities and offer the best educational experience possible for our students, families and staff. This bond will support 42 million in new projects and allow the completion of current projects that have seen significant cost increases due to inflation. NO TAX RATE INCREASE - if approved by voters, there is to be no tax rate increase expected over the current tax rate.
The bond will focus on five key areas:
- Safety & Security
- New Early Childhood Center
- Gym Additions
- Replacement Tennis Courts
- Completing Current Projects
