Students in Ms. Shealy's accounting class at Plainwell High School had some fun while learning in class. Students either played Life or Monopoly and during the games, they had to complete various accounting tasks. It wasn’t all fun and games, there was lots of learning too!

Holocaust Literature students at Plainwell High School learned about many survivor stories thanks to a traveling trunk borrowed from the Illinois Holocaust Museum. The students read survivor stories and examined “artefact” kits that include replicas of many objects from the Museum’s collection. This Survivor-focused trunk helps students understand each individual story and how the Jewish people sought to maintain their dignity and previous way of life throughout the Holocaust.

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Renae Jaeger, on signing her letter of intent to play golf at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College! The PHS Wrestling team is ranked 5th in the state!!! 🎉 The team completed the Conference Dual season last night with another outstanding performance - scoring 83 of a possible 84 points in a total match for a win against Sturgis 83-0! The team's record is 7-0 in the conference/17-1 overall and are ready to make their run in the postseason! Way to go, Trojan Wrestling - Plainwell Pride!

January is School Board Recognition month and before the month ends, we would like to take a moment to thank our Board of Education for their dedication to our school district. They work tirelessly to provide the best for our staff, students and families; including their hard work with the ongoing bond projects. Pictured here are Andrea Barrows, Julli Bennett, Jill Dunham, Rex Hall, Jr., Mike Hopson, Anthony McNeel and Shannon Zabaldo (also pictured is our former BOE President, Amy Blades) who helped break ground on the new Trojan pool and gymnasium. Thank you to each of our Board members for representing PCS so well - you are greatly appreciated!

Please note! There is no Open Family Swim at the PCS Pool on Friday, February 3. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming our families back for Open Swim on Friday, February 10.

Students in Ms. Ullrey’s class at Plainwell High School had the “crumby” job of testing the claim that there are 1,000 chocolate chips per bag of Chips Ahoy! Students calculated confidence intervals and hypothesis tests to review for their upcoming assessment. 🍪
